Beat the heat and journey into the restricted Conservation Area on this guided tour of Panola Mountain. Learn about the intriguing history of this land and the unique ecology of the mountain it protects. This 3 mile hike meets at the Nature Center. Wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen, and bug repellent. Must Register in advance. Don't forget your water! Ages 8 and up.

Have you ever wanted to release your inner archer? Maybe you're just looking for a place to hone your skills, no matter the weather. Our indoor archery classes are a great place to brush-up on the basics or start from scratch with the guidance of a certified instructor. All equipment is provided! Ages 9 and up. Learn simple techniques for staying safe and keeping track of your family when venturing into the great outdoors. Georgia DNR Search and Rescue Dog Team volunteer, Diane Stone, and her trusty K9 companion Keegan will be leading this interactive class (Unless a SAR emergency is occurring). Meet at the Nature Center. Must register in advance.

Panola Mountain State Park is now offering advanced archery classes on our static and 3-D ranges. Students must attend intermediate archery class. Join us for a ranger-led hike up Panola Mountain to enjoy the sunset over Atlanta. The moonlight will guide us down to a lakeside campfire where we'll enjoy s'mores! Improve your archery skills in this class that focuses on accuracy and shooting farther distances. Students must attend three basic archery classes before attending this program. Equipment is provided. Meet at the pavilion by Alexander Lake. Ages 9 and up. Must call to register and pay in advance. $5 per participant and $5 parking fee. Reservations are nonrefundable.
