A Peaceful Paddle
The South River has supported humans and human activity for millennia, from Native American communities who lived and traded along its banks to the farmers who relied on its water for irrigation. Today, you can enjoy a peaceful paddle down this beautiful waterway!
You can sign up for a guided paddle during summer and spring with the South River Watershed Alliance and Panola Mountain State Park. If you don’t have your own canoe or kayak, don’t worry! South River events provide boats and equipment for participants. Head over to our events page to sign up for the next paddle!
