Ready for a rugged and exciting hike through some of the most remote areas of Arabia Mountain? Then join Ranger Robby on a 4.5 mile moderate/difficult journey. Registration is required to receive trailhead directions and the exact starting location. Please register with rlastrove@dekalbcountyga.gov. Don’t forget to bring plenty of water and bug spray!
Saturday Panola Mountain Hike

Find out why Panola Mountain is such an important ecosystem during a Ranger led hike to the top of the mountain. As we twist and turn on the trail, we will see different plants and wildlife. Bring sturdy hiking shoes and water. Register in advance. Meet in Nature Center. $7 plus $5 parking. 770-389-7801.
Full Moon Night Hike
Listen to whippoorwills and owls as the sun slowly sets and the moon begins to rise. Panola Mountain is one of the best places to see the wildlife of the night. Bring flashlights and hiking boots. Meet at the nature center 15 minutes before each program. Register in advance. $7 plus $5 parking. 770-389-7801.

The Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve just has one employee to help maintain the park. Let’s give this guy and hand and help open up some trails in time for spring! We need help clearing branches/undergrowth and laying down fresh mulch. We’ll provide gloves and all the needed tools. Anyone who’s interested can go on a hike with Ranger Robby afterwards so you can enjoy the park you helped maintain!
