Looking for a safer way to celebrate Halloween? Join us for the 1st Annual Panola State Park Trunk-O-Treat! Boys and ghouls can collect candy going car to car instead of door to door and play on the playground after the sugar rush kicks in. There will be contests for best costume and best trunk decoration, and an assortment of activities for the whole family. Don’t forget to bring your candy bowl! It’s sure to be a howling good time.

Join a park ranger and other excited homeschoolers during this fun educational program. We will be discussing different topics related to science and nature directly relating to the current season. Two groups available: Ages 8-12 10am-12pm. Ages 13 & up 1pm-3pm.

You may have heard about Panola Mountain's unique ecology, but are you ready to discover some of the mountain's lesser-known history? Join our expert tracker and guide Jimi Ellis, and head off the trail to explore Panola's hidden cemeteries, whiskey stills, beaver dams, and more. Please register in advance

This class will be taught by a local Law enforcement officer and will focus on how to stay safe while at home, out on the trail, or out and about downtown. Great for women of all ages, so bring your mother, daughters, and friends! There will be special safety giveaways, but space is limited.

This class will focus on species of butterflies in the Atlanta area and Piedmont of Georgia. The workshop will begin with a classroom discussion about butterfly families and their habitats led by Phil Delestrez of the Department of Natural Resources. After a short break, the class will followed by a field trip into the Power of Flight Grasslands and the Wetland Restoration area at Panola Mountain State Park.
