South River Watershed Alliance has partnered with Dekalb County's Adopt-a-Stream to provide water quality monitoring training.

Join Naturalist Sean Beeching and Park Ranger Robby Astrove for an interpretive hike all about Lichen and Moss ecology.

Learn about the Nature Preserve's lakes, creeks and streams on an interpretive hike led by Park Ranger Robby Astrove and DeKalb County Adopt-A-Stream Coordinator Michael O’Shield.   This is an interactive hike -  attendees will be trained on how to evaluate stream health by learning how to perform habitat assessments, measure cross-sections, and calculate stream flow.Wear sturdy shoes and bring a water bottle.
