Learn about Arabia’s past through the lens of old rock ruins with veteran Preserve volunteer Tom Smith.  Old quarry buildings, homestead foundations, and mystery structures are revealed each winter so come explore with us!

Join Park Ranger Robby Astrove on Georgia Arbor Day for an interpretive hike to learn about winter tree identification.  Participants will learn about commonly overlooked features which are best for winter identification.    

Get moving and see the Nature Preserve by trail and PATH.  Hikes are moderate, 2-5 miles.  Meet at the Nature Center with your own water bottle. 

Participate in lively and enlightening discussions about wellness, nourishing foods, and spirituality. Gather at the fireplace in the Nature Center. This talk will be facilitated by Deborah Summerville of Wonderland Gardens.

We have ambitious goals at the Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve and we couldn’t hope to accomplish them without the work of dedicated volunteers. That is why we are starting a monthly volunteer service project! Please join us for our very first cleanup event. We can't wait to meet you!

• Katrina Morris, a DNR wildlife biologist, will talk about bat conservation efforts in GA
• DNR  wildlife biologist, Thomas Floyd, will talk about efforts to save the bog turtle
