Hike to discover why Arabia Mountain is an important habitat to many local species. After the hike we will have a picnic and view a wildlife presentation/tour at the AWARE wildlife rehabilitation center. Please bring your own lunch, water, and bug spray.

Ready for a rugged and exciting hike through some of the most remote areas of Arabia Mountain? Then join Ranger Robby on a 4.5 mile moderate/difficult journey. Registration is required to receive trailhead directions and the exact starting location. Please register with rlastrove@dekalbcountyga.gov. Don’t forget to bring plenty of water and bug spray!

Tara Muenz from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources will lead an afternoon of slimy fun! Come learn about volunteering to monitor salamanders and frogs. Monitoring amphibians helps fill in our knowledge gaps and identifies habitat crucial for their survival. Bring boots suitable for wading.

Celebrate the joys of cooking with chefs and health educators Deborah Summerville and Sheldon Fleming of Wonderland Gardens. The class will feature a homemade veggie burger using grains and vegetables and a seasonal side; healthy creations perfect for Spring! Meet at the Nature Center.
