Looking for a safer way to celebrate Halloween? Join us for the 1st Annual Panola State Park Trunk-O-Treat! Boys and ghouls can collect candy going car to car instead of door to door and play on the playground after the sugar rush kicks in. There will be contests for best costume and best trunk decoration, and an assortment of activities for the whole family. Don’t forget to bring your candy bowl! It’s sure to be a howling good time.

Take in the beautiful Fall colors during this guided hike to the top of the mountain. Help us provide Thanksgiving to those in need by bringing five non-perishable food items to donate, and enjoy the hike at no cost! Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water. Ages 10 and up.

Bring your binoculars for this gentle hike through the park's Power of Flight area. Basic identification techniques and common birds will be discussed. Good for all ages.

Panola Mountain needs your help! Volunteer in the "Power of Flight" area of the park and help collect native plant seeds. These seeds will be planted in native habitat restoration areas this spring. Individuals or small groups welcome. This is a great chance to meet and work with biologists and volunteers from the Atlanta Audubon Society.

Join us on a hike up Panola Mountain to enjoy the sunset over Atlanta. The moonlight will guide us down to a lakeside campfire where we'll enjoy s'mores. Bring flashlights, hiking boots and water. Ages 10 and up. Please call to register in advance. Groups of 10 or more must register for a private hike.
