Reading Ranger At Redan-Trotti Library (EMBARC)
Oct 29 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
FREEJoin us at Redan-Trotti Library for a special spooky-themed story and craft time with Rangers & Librarians. Come in your favorite costume!
What to expect: Come join us under the tent at Redan-Trotti Library, as Ranger Sherrie and Ms. Emilee bring nature indoors during this limited time program. Listen as the outdoors comes alive through books. Huddle around the “campsite” as we read about adventures, gardening, forests, and other exciting stories. The reading will be followed by a nature-themed craft and costume contest.
Program leader: Your guide will be Ranger Sherrie Barnes, Park Ranger at EMBARC Youth Farm and Emilee Sawicki, Redan-Trotti Library’s Children’s Librarian
Where to meet: Upon entering the library, turn right and enter the auxillary classroom.
What to bring: Make sure to bring your listening ears and curiosity! Don’t forget to dress in COSTUME!
Restrooms: The available bathroom is in the hallway across from the classroom.
Recommended ages: This program content is designed for children of all ages. If children are attending, they MUST be accompanied and we just ask that they be supervised by an adult during the entire program.
Weather contingency: This program will be held rain or shine, as all activities are held inside.
Walking distance: No more than the 100 yards from your car to the entrance of the library.
Exposure: The walk to and from the library is in full sun, but the program will be held inside.
Trail surface & accessibility: DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs is committed to providing inclusive and accessible programs. Reasonable accommodations may be available upon request. To request an accommodation, please contact the program organizer at least 48 hours in advance of the event. Questions if this program will work for your mobility? Program Photos: We love documenting our programs and may share photographs on DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs’ websites, publications, and social media platforms. While participants are welcome to take their own photos, photographs taken by staff are generally intended for County documentation and promotional purposes and are not routinely distributed to participants.
