ORNITHERAPY: A Practice of Presence At Arabia Mountain

Feb 28 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

FREE

Ornitherapy: A Practice of Presence invites participants to slow down and experience nature through birds in a calm, welcoming way. Rather than focusing on identifying species or keeping checklists, these guided walks center observation, listening, breathing, and shared reflection—using birds as gentle guides back into the present moment. Rooted in the quiet winter landscapes of Davidson–Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve, each session offers space to reset, reconnect, and notice how time in nature supports well-being.

What We’ll Do

Participants will take part in a gentle, guided hike drawing from selected Ornitherapy explorations. January and February sessions focus on learning to look, watching closely, noticing patterns, and understanding how birds and nature support presence and well-being. Expect slow movement, frequent pauses, quiet observation, and opportunities for guided reflection—whether birds are active or still.

The physical activity level will be 2 hours at a relaxed pace with frequent stationary moments. Terrain may include uneven natural surfaces. Register here or at the link below.
