Make the holiday season extraordinary with a special visit to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit.  The Arabia Mountain Heritage Area Alliance launches the inaugural Monastery of the Holy Spirit Architectural Tour in partnership with the Atlanta Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Atlanta).  Led by architects, the tour begins inside the historic Abbey Church.  One of the few surviving monks, who helped to build the Monastery, shares his story about the design and construction process for this exquisite landmark. Participants proceed into the open-air cloister to see the versatile skills of the monks with the architectural details and the landscaping.   The tour culminates at the Monastic Heritage Center where the project architect talks about his design for the restored historic barn, the modern cloister, and the elegant Abbey Store.
