Explore the fascinating world of minerals in this interactive workshop and hike! 

• Indoor Presentation (9:00 AM – 9:40 AM): Begin your journey with a 40-minute indoor session where knowledgeable experts will introduce you to the basics of mineralogy and common geological features. 
• Geology Hike (9:40 AM – 11:30 AM): After the presentation, we’ll embark on a 1.5-hour hike to observe the recent exfoliation event at Arabia Mountain. Witness firsthand the natural processes that reveal the mountain’s unique geology and gain a deeper appreciation for the forces at work.

How to Prepare:

• IT WILL BE HOT! Please dress and prepare with that in mind. Hats and sunscreen recommended. Wear comfortable hiking clothing and sturdy hiking shoes. Light-colored, breathable fabrics are recommended to keep cool in the sun.
• Bring a water bottle, we have fountains on site for refills. 
• You are encouraged to bring a light snack as well.
• If you have any health concerns or conditions that might affect your ability to participate, please inform us prior to the event. In most cases we can accommodate you.
