Lunch & Share: Lithonia History With DeKalb History Center
Apr 5 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
FREEGet ready – the DeKalb History Center is coming to Lithonia! The local History Center collects history and would like to add yours to the collection. They are seeking photographs from all time periods, as well as documents, scrapbooks, and family letters. An archivist will have a scanner on hand, so that your photos can be copied on the spot. The History Center is also looking for Lithonians to interview so they can record your personal stories. These would be done later at a time that works for you. The DeKalb History Center has conducted 30 of these interviews so far with your neighbors and friends.
Please come meet the staff while you learn more about the DeKalb History Center and their work. Bring the materials you feel comfortable sharing and enjoy a little lunch with us. Your history is incredibly important. It will help future generations understand the past, learn from mistakes, and shape a better future.
