Bring your 8-12 year old children to EMBARC’s monthly Archery program at the Farm! This program will focus on teaching safety, proper shooting technique, and developing skills like focus, discipline, and self-confidence. Ranger Rachel will also introduce a brief history of the sport before getting on the range. Participants will have the opportunity to shoot compound bows at targets from different distances. There will also be opportunities for target games.

EMBARC encourages parents to bring their own folding chairs as there is limited seating available at the range. There will also be a short walk to the range through the forest, so if there are any mobility concerns, please feel free to contact jpmclaurin@dekalbcountyga.gov or embarcdekalb@gmail.com

Please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Each participant MUST bring a reusable water bottle. EMBARC will have a large cooler of water to refill bottles. They will also have bug spray and sunscreen available. In the event of inclement weather, they will reschedule.
