The Arabia Alliance Staff joins with the naturalist at Panola Mountain State Park for a special hike on the mountain to see the Daisy (Porter’s Sunflower) bloom! Panola Mountain is a National Natural Landmark in the National Heritage area and is a carefully preserved outcrop. Join us to see this pristine monadnock in all its Daisy Days glory!

Guided Mountain hikes cover approximately 3.5 miles and we rate it as being moderately strenuous due to uneven rocky terrain and elevation changes. The hike lasts around 3 hours and we will make a few stops along the way to discuss flora and fauna, history of the area, and geology of the mountain. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. Hiking sticks are ok to bring but CANNOT have a metal tip. Wooden, rubber, or plastic are ok.
