Genealogy expert Emma Davis Hamilton will facilitate the book discussion and how the book’s story mirrors experiences of the historic African American Flat Rock community.

This series of programs is funded by the American Library Association and the Fetzer Institute.  The goal of the Building Common Ground series is to foster discussion about the rich history, culture and community life of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area and ways the community may work together.
