During our Cosmic Archery program you will get to fine tune your archery skills in the dark with the assistance of black lights, glow in the dark targets, and glow sticks. Wonder why Panola Mountain is a restricted area? Come on a guided hike for a close look at our unique ecology and see how outcrop plants scrape out a living in this harsh environment. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water. Register in advance.

Improve your archery skills in this class that focuses on accuracy and shooting farther distances. Students must attend three basic archery classes before attending this program. Meet at Alexander Lake pavilion. Participants must call Nature Center to register no later than the day before the class is scheduled AND pay in advance.

Join us for a ranger-led hike up Panola Mountain to enjoy the sunset over Atlanta. The moonlight will guide us down to a lakeside campfire, where we'll enjoy s'mores! Bring flashlights, bug spray, hiking boots and water. Ages 10 and up. Space is limited. Call the Nature Center to register.

Take a guided hike with a trained "Friends of Panola" volunteer, through the restricted Conservation Area and up to the summit of Panola Mountain. This is a 5-mile, semi-off trail, strenuous hike that offers a variety of beautiful views and unique perspectives on the park. Must call to register in advance.
