Sunset Stroll at E.M.B.A.R.C.

Unwind on a peaceful and gentle, ranger-led sunset stroll to the largest granite outcrop in the park, beginning in the garden before heading out on the half-mile walk to watch the sunset over the granite landscape. Along the way, there will be a chance to observe (from a distance) the bee apiary as well as the pond and other unique ecosystems and seasonal wonders. This is a family-friendly event fit for all ages.

Hiking Level: Easy — Approximately 1 mile total on a mix of paved surfaces, gravel, and rock. Suitable for most fitness levels.

What to Bring:

  • Travel mug for tea or hot chocolate (we will have the fixin’s in the garden)
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Layers (warm early evenings can cool quickly)
  • Headlamp or flashlight for the return walk
  • Water and bug spray if desired

Note: There is some bumpy terrain, so strollers and wheeled items are recommended to stay in the garden. Please be prepared to carry anything you want to bring. Feel free to bring a folding chair or blanket to sit on while the sun sets.
