This is a (children friendly) day of festivities for all ages that includes:
Children activities – duck pond, face art, sand art, cheerful fun arts and crafts, archery, hay rides, pony rides, petting zoo, parrot production and other wildlife animals from AWARE Wildlife Center and more.
Monastery Marketplace, featuring vendors of Abbey Store products offering samples of their goods. Enjoy sampling our monk-crafted food products from the monastery’s bakery including fruitcake, fudge, and biscotti.
Farmers Market, fresh localy grown produce
Vendors, Artisans handcrafted & homemade goods
Guided tours of the Gothic Abbey Church
Scheduled Conference – contemplation
Explore our Monastic Heritage Center, featuring:
– Interactive Museum (history of monasticism) – Abbey Gift Shop – Bonsai Garden – Café
– Bonsai Store and Bonsai Pottery Sales – Memorial Plaza and Prayer Walk.
Rockdale River Trail, explore the scenic walk, hike, and bike trail of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area (AMNHA) that starts at the monastery trailhead entrance. This is a welcome addition to what the monastery has to offer in sharing our vast greenspace and serene wooded landscape.
