AWARE Wildlife Night Owl 5K

May 17 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$40

The Night Owl 5K is a run/walk through Panola Mountain State Park, just outside of Atlanta, with all proceeds benefitting AWARE’s mission of wildlife rehabilitation and education! AWARE accepts injured and orphaned native Georgia wildlife, like an owl hit by a car or a baby opossum that lost its mom.

On race day, non-releasable AWARE wildlife will be there to cheer you on from the sidelines and greet you at the start/finish. You’ll get pictures with the animals, a t-shirt, a chance to win medals, and more. About half our participants walk, so it’s suitable for runners/walkers of all ages and skill levels.

  • WHO – You! Everyone is welcome. Walkers are especially welcome – about half the participants will walk. Dogs are welcome on leashes.
  • WHAT – A 5K run/walk on park trails.
  • WHEN – Saturday, May 17 – 6pm race start
  • WHERE – Alexander Lake Pavilion, Panola Mountain State Park, just east of 285
  • WHY – For wildlife! All proceeds support AWARE’s mission of wildlife rehabilitation and education.
