FREE

It's that time of the year again to share your history but this time with a photographic twist! Please join us on Tuesday, June 17 from 1-3pm for our 3rd Annual Juneteenth Storytelling Festival on Bruce Street. This year's theme is: History Happens Here! Come out to the East DeKalb Senior Center at 2449 Bruce Street to share your or your family's connection to Lithonia, Arabia Mountain and the surrounding area—and enjoy FREE ICE CREAM POPSICLES! Register here for free or at the link below.

- History Happens Here - This year for the Storytelling Festival, we're asking locals to also bring their old family photos and historic images of life back in the day of Lithonia, Arabia and the Klondike corridor. These images will be scanned and could be included in a book about Lithonia and the quarrying industry as part of Arcadia Publishing's bestselling Images of America series. Here is more information about the upcoming book and our history harvest process!
