Extra Shot of Good

IMG_7669During a “grande” day of service, 85 Starbucks employees planted over 45 fruiting bushes and trees in the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve and created outdoor classroom space in Panola Mountain State Park.  Hands on Atlanta helped coordinate this event which had sites throughout Metro Atlanta. Within the AMNHA, we coordinated six simultaneous project sites with three partner groups.  The rousing success of this event and its long-term impact gave the volunteers a deep sense of accomplishment and will delight park visitors for years to come.

We are inviting more employers to bring their day of service to the AMNHA.  From creating garden beds to painting homes for seniors we’ll find just the right fit for your IMG_7692company! Some of our partners groups include historic hometowns, a wildlife rehabilitation center, state and county parks, river advocacy groups, and even a Trappist monastery. With such a diverse group of partners we have a wide range of volunteer projects for groups of 50 to 500. We can also help plan your event from start to finish. First, we’ll work with you to pick the perfect volunteer projects and then help coordinate tools, signup tables, and all other event logistics. Please contact our volunteer coordinator, Kimberly Estep, to learn more about our past successes and to see what we can do together.
