Volunteer: Habitat Restoration Workday At Historic Wilburn Farm

Feb 8 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

FREE
Location: Wilburn Farm

Birds Georgia is restoring approximately 20 acres of grassland for birds and other wildlife at the Historic Wilburn Farm in the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area.

The main goal for the workday is to remove small woody invasives from the perimeter of the meadows. If we have time, we’ll start collecting seeds from the native grasses found in the meadows. The Habitat Team started collecting native seeds from the property and could use help collecting more. After we remove the invasive species from the property, these seeds will be used to replant with natives.

This site is close to Panola Mountain State Park, but we currently do not have a good address to use to navigate to it. After you register, we will send the coordinates and any other navigational information. Please register here or at the link below!
