Cheryl Mathis

Cheryl Mathis has taken on multiple roles with the Arabia Mountain Heritage Area Alliance since 1998, including her current position as the Board Secretary. Her past positions include Chair of the Education Committee for the Arabia Alliance, where she worked to bring an Environmental High School to DeKalb County, now known as Arabia Mountain High School and located in the National Heritage Area. Mathis is an entrepreneur in her own right and has worked in various business development and administrative roles in corporate America throughout her career. Outside of her work with the Arabia Alliance, Cheryl’s current efforts include managing her own mortgage company and serving nonprofits as a business consultant and grant writer, as well as serving her community on the Executive Committee of the Klondike Area Civic Association, Inc.
