Want to see the unique and hidden places that make Arabia Mountain so special? Join Ranger Robby for an all access hike in this amazing landscape. Meet at the nature center, bring water, and don’t forget your bug spray! Hikes are moderate and are about 2-5 miles depending on the participants.
Atlanta Audubon Society Bird Walk
Bring your binoculars for this gentle hike through the park’s Power of Flight area. Basic identification techniques and common birds will be discussed. Good for all ages. We recommend long pants and sleeves. Meet at the Alexander Lake Area. Register in advance. Donations of birdseed are appreciated. $5 parking. 770-389-7801.
Endangered Species Tour and Sunset Hike at Arabia Mountain

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is sponsoring a sunset hike at Arabia Mountain! Hosted by the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve, this event will highlight the creative recovery efforts being done to restore mat-forming quillwort and pool sprite. These plants are found on Arabia Mountain and are protected under the Endangered Species Act. We will meet at the Nature Center to discuss the unique ecosystem and heritage of Arabia Mountain, then hike up the mountain at sunset to observe the areas of restoration for the plants.
