$45

For the fifth straight year, the South River Watershed Alliance (SRWA) will provide novice and experienced paddlers alike the opportunity to experience the South River up close.  Join the SRWA and river enthusiasts from across the state for this exciting event that is designed to promote the importance of Georgia’s amazing rivers.

Paddle begins 9:00 a.m., Panola Shoals (Hwy 155 at Panola Road) and ends 2:00 p.m., Klondike Road in DeKalb County. Trip distance is approximately 6.5 miles and includes a 15-20 minute combined rest/snack break and conservation talk. Experience is not required but for a more enjoyable experience participants should familiarize themselves with basic canoeing techniques which can be accessed via YouTube or other online search engine. This is a guided paddle. Participants who sign up will receive detailed preparation and arrival instructions from guide prior to the paddle date. Trip cost is $45 per person and includes cost of canoe, insurance, and lunch. Cancellation: Trip cost is nonrefundable unless seat can be resold. Seats are limited.
