Start the New Year off right with a brisk hike up beautiful Panola mountain! Join us on a journey that begins by writing, then burning, last year’s burdens. Hike to the top of the mountain to symbolize all the great things you will accomplish in 2015. Finish with s’mores and hot chocolate around a campfire. Register in advance. Ages 6 and up. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water.

The First Day Hike program organized by “Americas State Parks” is an historic event. It represents the first time that all 50 states have collaborated on a nationwide event occurring on the same day. From California to Maine every state park system in the country is participating! Come be a part of this exciting event.
